'Time, Times, and dividing of Time'.

‘Time’ is translated from Strong’s H5732, ‘a set time; technically, a year’.

The Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew and English Lexicon defines the Hebrew ‘time’ in Da 7:25 as ‘definite time, = year

Gesenius’ Hebrew-Chaldee Lexicon (compiled by Heinrich Gesenius, 1786-1842) identifies ‘Time’ in Da 7:25 as a noun meaning ‘specially a year’.  Gesenius confirms the whole expression to mean ‘one year, two years, and half of one year’, totalling ‘three years and a half’ (3.5 years).

Gesenius’ influence as a master of Hebrew is widespread.  He is known as the father of modern Hebrew Lexicography, and new editions of his work are published today.
